My creativity is the tail of Prince Rupert's drop, whose integrity separates me from
the world of complete uncertainty. My art is a melancholic dance of images,
inspired by music and cinema. My works are an exploration of human
essence, the interaction of humans with nature and society.
The central theme in the works is always the human being. Even if not depicted,
their influence is shown. I focus on negative human traits or
events or phenomena that can affect a person or are a direct consequence
of human activity. In one way or another, this has influenced my worldview, so it can
be said that my practice is simultaneously a way of self-discovery.
Most of my works are done on paper, usually using charcoal and
pastels. I try to create a conflict in the perception of the depicted by the viewer,
achieving emotional contrast through the combination of monochrome and colored
images, and adding features of presentation and demonstration.
For the latter, two channels are involved: the visual, which involves creating a
video presentation of the work, which is also a separate piece; and
the verbal – adding poems, inscriptions, words, or designing the mat as
a certificate of authenticity.
My art is the visualization of my own emotions and experiences, doubts and
convictions – a dilemma regarding making the right decision. The desire to reach
catharsis, achieving truth and remaining honest with oneself.
